Happy New Year! This is officially my first post of 2016! Don’t you just love the New Year!?!? It almost feels like the one time in life you get to hit the reset button. All of the bad things and bad habits you were addicted to and confined to come to an end; and you’re able to successfully start and complete that one thing that you weren’t able to complete 365 days prior. Welp, we all know it doesn’t quite work that way, but a girl can dream right?
I think red is secretly one of my favorite colors. It’s not my go to color, but when I do wear it – it never disappoints! The winter months are here, but who says you have to stay draped in blacks, browns, and other dark colors. I’m actually very excited winter white is so popular this Fall because otherwise Fall shopping can be rather BORRRING in regards to the colors on the racks. So this winter I dare everyone to pull out there white, red, and even pink! Lets brighten up these dark, drab winter days that are soon to come.
Fashion never dies…it’s just reincarnated lol. Well, at least that’s what it seems because what comes and goes in fashion is always born again. I’ve heard countless stories from my mom about all of the “sharp” fashion she used to wear back in the day. And of course 20 years later those styles are back in-style. From jumpsuits, to high waist pants, to crop tops – fashion definitely repeats itself. So with that being said, the 70’s are calling and bell bottoms are back. Are they here to stay or just a fashion fad that will come and go?
If you’ve done any shopping in any clothing store lately, I’m sure you’ve noticed one of hottest trends this Fall – capes and ponchos. This trend has been a wardrobe staple for many years now, but this year the popularity of the poncho is hard to miss. But I must admit, this time around ponchos and capes have stepped up their game! From the bold prints, suede and leather detail, and fringe – I’m sold! Where do I sign up!?!
